Dear Pastors, Music Ministers, and all Flagler area Christians:
This is to call your attention to an article just posted at
http://flaglerlive.com/5559/ecumenism-flagler-county-churches by Pierre Tristam
who interviewed me yesterday about today's event, Flagler Churches Together in Prayer and Song at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach.
After reading it, I pleaded with him to remove some of his editorializing about the Baptist churches, as I take seriously the Apostle Paul's exhortation to Timothy: "Be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient" (2 Tim. 4:2), and I do intend to keep the door open for future cooperation with churches which have not responded so far to my repeated invitations by letters, emails, flyers, and face-to-face invitations. I want to build bridges, not to antagonize anyone.
Here is is reply, June 5, 2010, at 11:42 AM:
"I cannot delete direct references to Baptists: it's a fact, and a very important fact, that Baptists are declining to participate. I cannot diminish the accuracy of the story or soften its approach to fit one agenda or another: that's one of the points I made to you all at the ministers' association, especially since I intend to follow up with others stories on the matter, and may even today call a few Baptist ministers to include them in the piece. I hope you understand that we have different missions and would respect mine as I certainly do yours." Pierre Tristam, Editor, FlaglerLive.com
Please circulate this email to all your churchgoing friends in Flagler County.
I hope to see you all at this evening Flagler Churches Together in Prayer and Song.
All for the greater glory of God!

Hi fellow friends:
I want to response to Pierre Tristamís comment on the Baptists.  I think it is absolutely inappropriate for him to comment on the specific denomination.  Is he trying to cause disunity, distrust, etc. which we are trying our best to unite churches/denominations together.  I felt the Baptists or any churches or denominations have every rights to decline to participate in any programs.  We as FAMA members trying our best to do something good for the less fortunate, the poor at Flagler county.  We donít need any power or media to jeopardize the effort.  I hope we should all be distance away from him (Pierre Tristam).
