Let us pray
for all our brothers and sisters who share our faith in Jesus Christ,

that God may gather and keep together in one Church all those who seek the truth with sincerity.
 

Almighty and eternal God,

you keep together those you have united.

Look kindly on all who follow Jesus your Son.

We are all consecrated to you by our common baptism.

Make us one in the fullness of faith, and keep us one in the fellowship of love.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
 

Heavenly Father, Your blessed Son asked that His Church be one as You and He are one,

but Christians have not been united as He prayed.

We have isolated ourselves from each other

and have failed to listen to each other.

We have misunderstood and ridiculed

and even gone so far as to attack each other.

In doing so we have offended against You,

against all our brothers and sisters in the Church

and against all who have not believed in You

because of our scandalous disunity.

Forgive us Father,

and make us fully one.

Blot out our sins, renew our minds, rekindle our hearts,

and guide us by Your Holy Spirit into the oneness that is Your Will. Amen

Eternal Father, we praise you for sending your Son to be one of us and save us.
Look upon your people with mercy for we are divided in so many ways,
and give us the Spirit of Jesus to make us one in love.
We ask this gift, loving Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
